It's a good job I have no expectations from my efforts, I'll never get anything from it but the pure orgasmic pleasure of writing. Would I give it up - not on your nelly, even if you cut off both my hands because I would learn to write with my feet. I don't think I could bring myself to beat up and old man and his dog, though. Nicely written... not too, too depressing! Full of facts and insight and a touch of humor, too. (Doubtful the cat would agree...) I remember the first time I got published (for free) in 1981...and then not again until 2000! The prime of my life, practically, and it was gone without a single written word of mine reaching the masses. My first check for something I'd written was for $600.00... and I didn't want to cash it... just wanted to look at it. If it wasn't for the starving children, I would have framed it, instead.
